“There is no more profitable investment than investing in yourself. It is the best investment you can make; you can never go wrong with it. It is the true way to improve yourself to be the best version of you and lets you be able to best serve those around you.”

*Haven Counseling is now in network with several major insurance companies!
In Network Insurance - United Healthcare /United Behavioral Health/Optum Commercial, UMR, Golden Rule, Student Resources, GEHA, Medica Behavioral Health, Oscar, Midland’s Choice, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Haven Counseling sees many clients as private pay or “self-pay”, accepting credit card or cash. You may utilize your HSA account to pay for therapy services as well. Payment is due at time of session.
Out of Network Insurance - You may request a “superbill” or a receipt to provide to your insurance company to request reimbursement for out of network services. This would be your responsibility to coordinate payment between you and your insurance company.
Insurance vs. Private Pay
There are many benefits such as increased privacy, reduced oversight and requirements from a third party, more autonomy on the client’s part to determine frequency and duration of care, as well as more attention focused on my client’s needs and therapy rather than the overall time and cost associated with billing and insurance justifications. However, many may find the financial benefits of utilizing insurance to be a valuable asset as well. Be sure to talk with us about which might be the best fit for you
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
